i. Strengthening ditches and roadside buildings (p.64)
This activity focuses on urban planning and development in relation to roadside sewerage and ditches in towns.
It consists of:
- ensuring that ‘road building activities always consider the building of ditches … to remove rain water’;
- ‘roadside sewerage and ditches in towns [will] be designed properly; their building quality should be ensured; and they shall be properly managed in order to protect the residents from flood disasters and ensure the safety of roads’.
