In recent years in pastoral areas of developing countries, the One Health approach has gained greater credibility and visibility as a way to combine interventions for both human and animals. However, relatively little attention in the work on One Health has been given thus far to the component of environmental health, i.e. the health of the resource base for pastoralism. The blog “Healthy rangelands, healthy livestock and healthy people: a fully integrated One Health approach in pastoral Ethiopia” by Fiona Flintan et al. in Feed the Future AgriLinks (16 Jan 2020) draws attention to how One Health is being integrated with the Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM) approach in Ethiopia.
