CELEP Update June 2018

The CELEP Update June 2018 reports on past, ongoing and planned activities of the CELEP European Focal Point at VSF–Belgium and the Regional Focal Point at RECONCILE in Kenya. This 4-page issue includes, among other things, information about recent events in which CELEP was involved such as the European Development Days and the launch of the PASTRES project, preparations for the upcoming Tropentag in Ghent (17–19 Sept) with a pre-conference workshop and a Tropentag session on pastoralism, plans for the next Annual General Meeting (28–30 Nov in Brussels) and welcoming of new CELEP partners in Eastern Africa.

CELEP is managed by an elected European Focal Point, currently at VSF-Belgium, an Eastern African Focal Point, currently at RECONCILE, Kenya, and a Core Group. The 2022-2023 Core Group is composed of the European members Agrecol Association (Germany), International Institute for Environment and Development (UK) and VSF-Belgium; the Eastern African partners DADO Uganda, Pastoralist Forum Ethiopia, PENHA Somali and RECONCILE Kenya; and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
